Tampa kicks ass, with a 6-2 win; Johnson had the hat trick, Stamkos was clicking, and the powerplay also added. Again, Tampa stands the "ooo the elite goaltender will steal it!" bullshit on its head. The Bolts aint got a goal scoring problem. YOU DO, Rangers. And you dont impress or intimidate them.

In an uncharacteristic game, both goalies were very human; Went to OT to settle, and Kucherov scores another OT game winner a little over 3 min in. Bolts win 6-5 and lead the series 2-1. Exciting game

Rangers did very well tonight, so we get another Game Seven Showdown on Thursday night in the big apple. The Hawks lost in OT and play game 6 in Chicago Wed night facing elimination

You knew the Hawks weren't gonna just meekly submit
5-2 with the empty netter to cherry things, but they were on their game. Not that Anaheim sucked, but they were just not *there

So both series' go to game sevens, Rangers/Tampa Friday night, Hawks/Ducks Saturday.
Never short on drama :P

And That is How We Do That
2-0 Shutout as the Bolts are headed to the Cup Final
And as forseen, a hot goalie is good, but, THEY CANT SCORE GOALS
You could see both teams a bit twitchy in the 1st, its Game fricken 7
But it became clear the Rangers wanted to get something to just go in, anyway anyhow. Tampa kept playing. They scored
You lose

And Stamkos leaves the Prince of Wales Trophy without prints on the ice. Well done :D

x2
5-3 Hawks final, and that flatters the Ducks. The Hawks passed on an empty net goal with time winding down, thats classy

Toews. This Guy just doesn't know how to lose. A hockey team, a legion, he'd be the leader wherever.

So
The Cup
Gets Underway, on Wed I believe in Tampa. No predictions. Maybe 7 games plus OT . Talent level dials up to 12 on both clubs
This, is gonna be good

edit:
Now THAT, is something I've never seen.
Toews of course was never going to lay a hand on the Clarence Campbell Bowl
But, he waved the entire team in to get photographed with it instead of just him and the NHL rep
Class all the way

just watching Joel, who did not go out for the pic like he should have, nearly in tears; they say a lot about this guy, but he is one hell of a coach. Matching up Kane with Toews was sheer brilliance. And you could just see how proud he was of his team.

Built for the playoffs
