I was wondering if a poll like this for current / recently current (see: me ;) ) MPV members might be a better idea (for you)? That way paying customers have a say in what they see rather than the forum as a whole? I realise that such a thing may backfire on my own desires but from a business standpoint it might make sense to consult your customers rather than everyone? I suspect that you have an idea from the uptake of particular scenes though? that's an excel graph I'd like to see!

Dude, I think you're missing the point of this little exercise. Besides if these producers are even mildly aware, and I assure you they are, they want everybody to be a customer.

I used to beg and plead and dream of getting people here to say what they really think so that constructive criticism could be applied. Here's your shot - GOFER IT!
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

That's a good idea, but the reality is that MPV customers vote with their wallets. Nothing beats some basic sales analysis when it comes to figuring out what works. In fact, one of the motivations for the Buzz Kill thread is to see if otherwise popular material is being torpedoed by something I'm overlooking - or overdoing for that matter.

Again, back to the main topic of this thread, I strongly feel that discussions on QSF have been stifled by 'producer rhetoric'. I'm just as guilty as anyone else. My negativity may be intermittent, but it has probably has had a chilling effect.

So, again, speak freely people. What good is a discussion board if members feel intimidated?

Blimey, three pages of replies! I guess I wasn't imagining it then.

Come to think of it, the land mass distribution on Earth is not equal between North and South hermisphers, nor is it evenly distributed latitudinally (or longitudinally, if I got that wrong). I'm sure there are plenty of other factors in play, but I think I'm right in saying that there is a considerable North hemisphere bias regarding the practice of this activity in general. It's still too cold in England, but not by much (ground temperature, that is - it's almost always too cold to go in the sea).

Actually, just browsing around reading dates..."Member Submissions" is looking comfortably active to me.

That was intended in the board design and very satisfying to see realized.

I always thought that creative stuff was hammered with producer noise/thunder at Deep Sinking. And I suspected that more people would contribute if we stayed out of where they were posting and other folks could take some prominent positions with those submission areas.

Keep it up guys. Truth be told, I raid the story forum about every two months. There's nothing like the real DNA of our community for thrills and chills.

Bottom line is really this: Everyone likes their own specific thing, You can never, ever please everyone. That's the nature of everything in life, especially fetishes. Especially one this specific.
The only thing you can do is try to introduce as much variety as possible. You try to cover as many bases as you can. That's the best chances for success. Trouble is, that requires more money and more work. So it comes down to whether the producers want to go the extra mile or not.
The best way to start is put up polls. See what percentage of people like what. Forum threads just lead to a few people leaving long-winded descriptions of their "perfect scene." It would be better to have polls, with percentage calculations.
Then simply tailor scenes proportionally toward the highest rated interests.

Scientifically, this is true only if the persons responding to a poll are a random, or at least representative, sample of the population of people who buy the scenes, and in proportion to how much each buys or would buy. In a poll conducted through a forum such as this, this situation MIGHT be the case but probably is not. Persons who respond to open polls and persons who purchase a class of items, even within a population with a common interest, are not likely the same. I speak here not so much as a video producer but as a person who writes graduate-level textbooks on research methods.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

I don't know, I think it's REALLY hard to keep things going at a place like this when the weather plays such an integral variable. I know where I am it's just too damn cold/snowy to even think about indulging. But as soon as I'm able I hope to be able to show it here. I think it's natural for the posting of material/ideas etc. to slow down during the winter months. But suspect that as soon as it warms up a bit there will be lots more sharing/activity 8-)

Every freaking weekend it keeps being almost warm enough to officially kick off the season......this one is the same. Beautiful, sunny, not a cloud in the sky.....and just barely too cold. 5 degrees warmer and I'd be neck deep in clay instead of wasting time on the internet. :(
