There was a quicksand scene in a recently aired SyFy Channel movie called "Ferocious Planet." While running from some kind of funky other-dimensional dinosaur-thing, a male soldier runs into a hole and disappears while his companions continue running. After talking to his commander on the radio for several minutes, he finally gets around to admitting that he's chest-deep in quicksand. A rescue scene ensues. The peat-based quicksand looked quite good, but there wasn't really anything in the way of sinking. Not a great scene, but at least the producers actually went through the effort of creating a good-looking bog.
Nobody had better ask me how I know this.

I know perfectly well how you know. You were minding your own business, driving down a country road somewhere in the American Southwest when you were suddenly brought to a halt by strange flashing lights. Then you were kidnapped by about six greenish creatures, each about two feet tall, squeezed into a sort of aircraft and immediately airborne. After flying for a few minutes, directly toward what you knew to be a special part of Nevada that doesn't exist, you grabbed what appeared to be a parachute and bailed out just before the craft was shot down by weapons that don't exist. Then when you landed you nearly broke a toe kicking what turned out to be a metal box bearing the name d.b. cooper. And inside, was a copy of the script for "Ferocious Plant," and a TV listing for the television premier. You knew that was significant because the date on the listing was four months in the future.
Now tell me I'm not spot on with this.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

There’s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
