It’s still in post production. Teashop is still flying high off the success of Obsession which was released earlier this year so it’s either heading to the Toronto Film Festival or we won’t hear a peep until later this year/next spring. Depends on whatever timetable they gave their financier

Easy fella. It’s coming out. They just released Obsession which was a box office hit and that was shot almost 3 years ago. These are real mainstream productions. Not a few guys with a couple of camcorders and some time on their hands.

It’s likely it will follow the same path which is it will debut at a film festival (Toronto most likely). They appear to have distribution but exposure at these festivals helps to lock in more. Tune into Teashop’s website and check periodically but in light of the success of their last film, I don’t think they’re rushing this one.

Oh my god!!! I never thought anything would actually happen. I still believe we’re in for the long game because it hasn’t seem to gotten any sort of distribution deals from what I can tell. A movie that interested me called Touch Me was floating about for ages after several film festivals from 2024-25, and only got released this year. Here’s to hoping something comes along quick.

Closing out the festival is THE SWALLOW, a brutally efficient, effects-forward survival horror. When a group of teenagers break into a fenced-off area of the woods during a camping trip, they end up terrorized by a sentient, quicksand-like sludge. Directors Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer deliver a thrilling throwback horror film starring Grace Van Dien.

Well now...

Teashop has been slam dunking it lately so they will absolutely get distribution and they are closing out the festival so they are expecting big things from those two. Obsession grossed almost 800 million at the box office off of a 795K budget which is INSANE so even IF the scenes are not worth their weight in gold, at least the movie itself will be worth watching. As for an official release date? Depends. They are not going for Winter because going toe to toe against Avengers:Doomsday is crazy work. They may most likely aim for another spring release like they did Obsession

A new character, Sandy, has appeared on the IMDB for The Swallow; played by Madeleine Coghlan.

Well now...

Indeed.

At least it's described as 'sludge' - something that (hopefully) won't have teeth.

I know a lot of guys here cross over into vore, but Blood Beach was just too, uh, bloody. 8-)

I hope it won’t be so vorish either, but if it’s fully adapted from the spec script that was released years ago, then this sludge has an acidic effect on its victims, sort of burning them and causing them extreme pain. I really hope that’s not the case, and it’ll feel too similar to the Raft part of the Creepshow 2 movie.
