Trying ai video creation

Postby quickbeard » Mon Mar 16, 2026 6:01 pm

Im experimenting painfully with creating quicksand videos. I only know how to do image to video or text to video. One is the best one that I've created so far but it does not have editing options to correct for the misplacement of her legs. All the sources that I can find at best. Do a 5 to 10 second video. And I really would like to do something closer to a minute. Any suggestions for this newbie, beginner?

A lot could be said. Much depends on your workflow (i.e. how you actually go from your idea to making the video).

I'm assuming that you're relying on text to video. This is generally an unreliable method of generating a good scene - you're leaving too much to chance and the AI doesn't really know what you're looking for, while committing credits and resources into generating an output that you can't change.

The AI is much better at working with an existing image, as it can understanding what the scene is meant to look like and work with the elements in the source image.

Generate a good image that contains the elements you want, specifically fine-tuning the texture of the quicksand in the way that you want it. If there are edits you need to make, work with the image before putting it through image-to-video.

Regarding length, most AI models only generate 5-10 seconds. Current new models are now pushing 12-15 seconds. People who are making longer videos are splicing together multiple outputs.

Sora is the only tool I've seen that's any good with text-to-video, but the censorship filter is pretty intense.

Otherwise I have to agree with Viridian, it's better to use text to create an image, then use that image to generate a video.

Than you for all this information. I had previously been fooling around with a free programs like grok; and last month, I decided to jump in with both feet so to speak and subscribe to pollo Al. After blowing that month's subscription, i finally, got a decent balance of female visual and consistency of the muck. Spent the last month working on a visual reference of what the perfect female for me would be,. Withhis month's subscription of points, I discovered that they had tightened their boundaries, moved many of the editing options that I was using. So I defaulted to taking one of the vides that they had created last month, and simply kept clicking create similar image. The one I shared was the best of the lot. For reference, I'm adding the "female that I wanted to use.

Than you all,
