First time deep
I wonder what expierences people have when they stepped in quicksand or mud and sinked deeper than they thought and how deep you sank eventually

Re: First time deep
Other than playing in pools and shallow play pits the first time I stepped out on to mud thinking it was only a few inches deep and sank deep was around three years ago, I was out with a mate and just looking round for muddy play areas, this one spot was perfect off the beaten track and a few miles from anywhere helpful, It was 300 yards inland from a small tidal river.
I went down fast and from stepping on the mud and was up to my chin in seconds, the mud was super soft and creamy - very sticky and luckily I was able to be pulled out, we later found a old tree branch and used it to gauge the depth the branch was at least four meters and that sank so we knew if I had went under there was no one out

Re: First time deep
The deepest I sank assuming standing full upright was waist and chest-deep in Texas. That is as closest I sank. I am not too fortunate enough to find pits that behaves almost quicksand-like...
One day I shall find that island to fulfill my fetish desires...

Re: First time deep
One of the first experiences I had was going to “test” out the mud in a mud flat. I wanted to find a spot to explore this fetish after discovering it online. I had found a mudflat in a swamp and figured, I’m here already, might as well see if this is the kind of spot I can come back to use for a first sink.
I was shocked as I walked out into the middle that I kept sinking straight down. Ended up sinking to chest deep and became very stuck and had my first deep sinking experience whether I was ready for it or not.

Re: First time deep
A long time ago when I was in my early teens at a quarry not far from home and I made the stupid mistake of going on my own. It was in autumn and I was dressed only in a light weight turtleneck under a V-neck sweater with jeans and sneakers.
I sank up to my ribs before stopping and I hadn't even touched bottom ! I was shivering, and scared before I was lucky enough to work out by myself how to get free without help.
...but for more than a few minutes I thought I was a goner, either by drowning or by hypothermia !

Re: First time deep
I once found a deep mud hole. I checked the depth with a stick, and it was chest-deep. But when I climbed in there in just my underwear, I only went down to my crotch. It took some effort to get down to my chest. And when I started to climb out, it was really easy to get up to my hips. The mud pushed itself out. It got harder from there, but not too much. Overall, I was a little disappointed, because I thought it would be hard to get out. But I like it when the mud holds tight and when it's hard to get out.

Re: First time deep
I've had a few deep sinking spots, the first time I sank deep was unintentional (well, kind of - I was scouting the mud in order to go for a sink at a later date, but mud that appeared to be dried out turned out not to be dried out at all and I ended up chest deep, I've written about that earlier here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30470#p178697 ). I visited that mud quite a few times before I moved away, and also sank completely under.
The next place I lived in was a bit dissapointing for mud (I thought) despite being somewhere quite wet. I did eventually find quite a large area in a disused quarry that was only a few minutes from home which surprised me in its depth. I started wading in it, it was nice and thick, but it didn't seem to be more than about calf deep. Then I stepped forward and sank right up to my chest. I had several sink-unders in that mud. It only lasted about a year, a tropical storm came through and flooded it and it was never the same again.
Here's a picture after surfacing one time (sadly, I have very few pictures, wamming has been largely a solo affair, this is a frame grab from a rather dark grainy video although Google Nano Banana has been able to clean it up and brighten it a bit - maybe clean it up is the wrong phrase...)
Sadly there's no deep mud at all where I live now.
