Sounds like we have something in common here ;) I still haven't gotten around to trying SD—probably will eventually. I saw a few on "Off the beaten track" looked a little like tar, something I haven't much luck with on Perchance.

Theo’s AI Quicksandbox: New Stuff Oct 19th

Postby Theo » Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:13 pm

I hate to do more of the same thing, but I had a hundred pictures left over from my post last weekend, and I just hated to let some of the better ones go to waste. So here’s some “honorable mentions” if you will; ones that either weren't very consistent with the story line, or had little some flaws.

You're back!

I've enjoyed your tales. While I've moved away from Perchance, it's great to see that you're still using it to generate pictures and use them to tell stories. And there's something about Emma that reminds me of Ellie Goulding...

As an aside, someone on one of the big Quicksand servers on Discord started creating quicksand images in Wild Life, and I was reminded of you, so I posted a link to your past work.

Well, we're both here so we probably have a few things in common. :)

I've got two "black" environment descriptions I use, the prompt terms for these are as follows:

tar pit, expanse of bubbling boiling smoking black jelly-like tar that heaves, belches and spits globs of molten tar

coal waste tip, piles of small granular black coal waste separated by flat areas of soft deep wet waterlogged coal dust

Give those a go and see how they work for you, I'll be interested to see the results.

"Hundreds of pictures left over" Know the feeling, I've got a Deviantart account for that now!

Ah, extraneous fingers, hands, legs, ... ; I use photoshop to fix these if I think the picture is worth saving, it is surprising what you can get away with with a bit of cut/paste, cloning, smudging etc.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention, I like the latest set of pictures, nicely done.

Yep I'm back and well... maybe a little better than ever :)

Thank you 65sinking! Yes, for now I'm still using Perchance, and still have hundreds of pictures made with it I may eventually utilize, but someday I'll probably move over to Stable Diffusion, as that seems to produce better quality images.

Umm... yeah... I umm... see the likeness ;) In case you missed it, I did more of Emma last weekend also. This is actually my second weekend back.

I'll have to check that out, be interesting to see what others are doing. I'm actually hoping to start a weekly thread like this for WildLife stuff (or occasional, or I might alternate between AI and WL each weekend). I have a few WL projects that are nearing completion.

Hmmm... I'll have to give those a try, thanks!

Yeah, I try to avoid wasting too much time in photoshop (why do that when you can just click "generate" again :D) But I have fixed a few odd looking eyes, missing teeth etc. There was another nice one I wanted to use where she had one super long fingernail :? I thought about editing it, but I just picked another one.

It's easier for me to fix an image with photoshop than regenerate it. That may sound odd, but Automatic1111, the browser front end to Stable Diffusion that I use, has a "Generate Forever" option, so I set it going and leave it to run while I do other things (e.g. fix images with Photoshop, washing up, whatever). Each prompt will be different because I use wildcard files extensively, so each time it starts a new image it'll make a series of selections from my 14 or so wildcard files to create a different prompt. If I want to change things I can edit the wildcard files without stopping Automatic1111/Stable Diffusion. Basically, I have an image production line going.

Theo’s AI Quicksandbox: Halloween Costume Party!

Postby Theo » Sat Nov 02, 2024 1:53 am

Happy belated Halloween, hope y’all had a wicked good one! It may have been a few days ago, but it’s not too late to have a little fun with costumes, right? The theme as usual, is damsels getting lost on the way to the costume party, or perhaps going to some extremes to get that perfect costume pic for social media, unfortunately, often alone, with disastrous consequences

I’d been working feverishly to finish my Halloween story earlier this week (link if you’re into reading: "Haunted" ), so I didn’t have a whole of time to “perfect” the results, but I think some turned out okay enough.

Looks like three guests never made it their parties on time. Or did they, but then have to tell the other party goers that they'd come as Swamp Thing?

A fun set. Thanks.

Or the monster from the tar pits, as the case may be for Darcy :D Thanks Cerberus!
