But waiting for you to learn a new program in the worst case will suck, but will be worth the wait.
It's damn frustrating, Stephy.
My old program was great because of its simplicity of use. I've downloaded Gimp and been dismayed by how complicated it all is. You can't teach an old new tricks and when I look at the Gimp user interface I feel very old indeed. I'm now checking out Blender and have joined two subReddits to find out more. More frustration!
I tried posting a 'Help' query on the r/Blender subReddit, showing something (non-sexual) that I'd created with PhotoSuite, asking if Blender could do the same, just as easily. But the post was instantly removed because the subReddit will only accept images created by Blender. My second 'Help' post, which had no image attached, was removed just as quickly, with no explanation given. I can only assume that they'll only entertain queries about the Blender program itself and not queries from people who aren't using it yet.
One member has got back to me, saying this.
"Can Blender do these things "
Yes. And much more.
"is it simple to use and simple to learn?"
Yes. If you've got nothing else to do for the next 5 years.Which is simultaneously encouraging and of no help at all. I certainly don't want to spend the next five years getting back to where I was with PhotoSuite. Makes me wonder if I'm being jerked around.
I messaged the Mods on the other one, r/Blenderhelp and have yet to receive a reply. It could be same thing. Perhaps they'll only entertain helping people who are actually using Blender and not those asking about it.
Redjak.
