Hey Everybody,

Here is Frame 2085. That means we're past the point where I had to go back and start over. Here we have our girl Paris, turning her body as much as possible while her legs and hips are stuck in the muck, looking down the trail towards the beach. Is there anybody close enough to hear her cries for help, or are they too far away, too engrossed in the sounds of the surf as they soak up the rays on one of the worlds most perfect nude beaches?

Who will save her?

Seeing all these multi-angle images of Paris in the quicksand, Qsvgitguy, has me wishing that the finished video could also be watched from multiple angles as well!

Hey Jason, not a bad idea. I'm actually thinking of doing more than one version with various angles. We'll have to wait and see. It takes quite a while to render out this stuff.

Hi Everybody, Hi!

Here we are at frame 3215! This is just about the point where I got last time when I showed you the picture If Only She Had Seen The Sign Sooner. It's almost the exact same frame, but not quite. I forgot which frame number that was but you get the idea. Anyway, here she is again, Paris, now covered with thick sticky quicksand, sunk almost down to her boobs, looking at the sign, her mouth slightly agape, thinking "Holy Shit! This really is quicksand!"


I wanted to show you the difference between the two different fluid engines in Real Flow and how much of a difference it makes when the stuff is properly sticky! As I type this, the simulation is up to 3230. Right now, it's averaging about 300 frames per 24 hours. So, that leaves us with 5270 frames left to go. It takes a little more than 3 days to render out 1000 frames, and we have just over 5000 to go, so that gives you an idea of when the simulation will be done. That's IF nothing goes wrong.

Patients is a hard thing.
