Re: Sinking Archaeologist (17th pic added)
At first I thought Lara was hefting a hatchet, but upon closer examination I see that she got her gun! Let's hope that it doesn't go off when she tries to hook the gun's grip on the ledge!

Lara's tough! If anyone can get out of that, she can! I have faith in her survival skills!
I thought the same thing at first. And yeah, it'd be pretty embarrassing for her if she shot herself while escaping quicksand.
Cool way to continue the series!

At first I though Lara had found a relic in the mud... kind of like, "AH, FOUND IT!"
Yes, she is indeed quite stubborn... she has such a "No Fear" attitude. Should prove interesting to observe how she's getting herself out of this mess.

I think that's the least of her worries at this point, though I must admit it would make for an interesting grim ending.

That would indeed have been an incredible discovery. Mayans built pistols! With silencers!!

Just wanted to let you know that more pictures are being rendered right now. My work on the series is mostly done, now it's up to the PC to do the rest. So the poor thing will be tirelessly working into the new year 24/7 to deliver the goods.
Till then... Happy New Year!

I certainly hope she'll be rewarded with a nice codex or sarcophagus for all her troubles here, and not just a crate of nuts and bolts or poison mushrooms! At least an artifact or two.
Well done Aiko! Thanks and Happy New Year!
P.S.

Reward? Huh. I'd say getting out of this alive should be reward enough.

When I saw this most recent pic I imagined Rod Stewart singing, "The first breath is the deepest..."

Happy New Year to you as well!
Nice follow-ups... Lara is not done yet! In the 18th image, hopefully she engaged the safety on her gun before trying this. Of course, that's probably the least of her concerns. And, in the 19th image, outstanding job on her facial expression... her eyes and gritted teeth fill her face with the look of determination as she pulls with all her might against the mud's suction.
