Austin serial bomber dead

Postby BSink42 » Wed Mar 21, 2018 6:55 pm

The guy who was sending bombs to people in Austin, Texas (which killed two people and injured many others) blew himself up following a police pursuit.

Good riddance. Now maybe the people of Austin will be able to sleep tonight.

At least he saved the taxpayers the cost of a trial......what a fucking shitbag.

I actually had a box of ammo in transit via FedEx while this was going on, it ended up getting delayed by several days because they literally trying to scan/search EVERY PACKAGE they were handling, and the "Warning Live Ammunition" safety stickers on the box naturally threw up a whole parades worth of red flags. The guy who finally delivered it said basically every driver in the company was going around waiting for their trucks tk explode. Scary shit.

From the early reviews apparently this young man was deeply disturbed. Not trying to sound cruel but whatever happened to just jumping off a bridge? Why has everyone got to take a crowd with them now?
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Media sensationalism. They know if they take people with them when they off themselves they'll get their name and face on every news network in the world. Want proof? Bet you know this guys name from memory, but you can't name a single one of his victims.

The method changes but the story is always the same. Mentally disturbed person on various medications, well known known to law enforcement and various other people in authority to be dangerous, and nobody does anything until/unless a bunch of innocent people end up dead. People like this need to be humanely institutionalized, where they can be properly supervised and medicated, BEFORE they snap. Not after.

CNN has actually in recent years chosen not to (by and large) mention the names of mass killers in favor of focusing on the victims. IIRC, Anderson Cooper was the one that spearheaded that change around the time of Sandy Hook. There are some exceptions (such as when the killers are captured rather than killed/kill themselves, because, by being alive, there is subsequently trials where their names inevitably have to be uttered), but by and large CNN has chosen to not give the killers that last bit of glory they crave by not naming them.
