Any fix that doesn't make you cut a hole in your wall is a good fix. 8-)

Everything worked EXCEPT the heavy metal faucet handle. The adapter kit provided too little friction. The weight of the handle kept making it sway to the hot or cold side. The plumber had a lighter weight crystal plastic handle in his van and swapped them. Problem solved!
