Episode 2:
http://ahlamtv.com/en/Ramez-tah-al-el-a ... sode-2.htm

The other current episodes have also been uploaded here (for now).

Recaps, while we're at it:

Episode 2:
Guests: Moamen Zakaria - Egyptian footballer; Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim "Kahraba" (Electricity) - Egyptian footballer

Same setup - there is always the same M/F supporting cast in the car who play along with the prank, along with the same driver. The driver always climbs out the window, gets stranded and goes under. The M support is typically wearing a white shirt, jeans and a khaki vest. The F normally changes outfit each episode. In this one, the F is wearing jeans, a white t-shirt and olive blouse on top. The guests are two males.

The car remains above the surface for most of the prank. The male guests try to save the driver, while Support M pulls them back on the roof and Support F does the whole damsel-in-distress shrieking. The camera mostly focuses on the guests. At some point Support F falls into the pit and is chest-deep, but we don't see much of her during the sequence. Ramez the lizard appears and crawls towards the car. The men shout and point, staying on top of the roof until Ramez reaches the edge and reveals himself. The guests jump off and into the pit, hurling water bottles and insults at Ramez. We briefly see Support F waist-deep while the guests are pulled out (we never really see her again after the prank is over, which seems to be normal for each episode). The men are pulled out, and they wrestle Ramez to the ground and smack him around (much of the trailer footage was of this incident).

Overall, this episode was less cringe-worthy. The guests were more like alpha males taking control, unlike Episode 1's female guest, who could have shattered windows with her swearing. Again, some really amazing camera angles and long shots that show the size of the pit. It might just be me, but the jump cuts seemed less frequent (though still a lot), possibly because the guests were a bit more sedate in this episode.

Episode 3:

Guest: Mustafa Khater - actor, director

Male guest, wearing a white shirt. Support M has the same outfit; Support F is wearing jeans with a white blouse with red-scarf print. The guest is a much calmer man who plays along quite well compared to the previous guests, while Support F hams it up. He joins in the shouting and panicking when Ramez the lizard arrives. The car sink sequence is a bit different in this one: all three passengers stay on top of the vehicle while it sinks under. They're well past their waist before they hop off and sink chest-deep. Support M pulls himself to neck-level and even submerges (at least, off-camera), leaving Support F and Khater. Support F REALLY hams it up as Ramez gets closer. She bobs up and down, clutches onto Khater, jumps on his back, even pushing down on his head in melodramatic terror. After Ramez does the reveal, Khater swallows some of the dirt and chokes up, while Support M pops back up. The post-prank scene is more mellow, as Khater has a hard time clearing his mouth. We get more shots of Support F chest-deep giving him a pat (and I must say that even in the post-prank shots, the quicksand pit still looks amazing, as the victims are basically treading a dense mix of dirt and water, so it undulates appealingly and the victims - especially Support F in this case - seem to slip down a few times).

Candid moment after Khater is pulled out: he seems dazed and a little spooked, and he stumbles sideways back into another deep part of the pit.

The pacing was better in this episode, again mostly due to the nature of the guest. Still a lot of quick jump cuts, but not as much. We get more shots of Support F up to her chest in this episode while Khater recovers.

At this point, I'm still impressed with the show. Just writing recaps is exciting.

Thanks for posting this link. I was able to download this video. I have not been able to download the first two because the YouTube links all expired before I could get to them. The other sites would not work with any of my download software. If someone could upload them to "unlisted" YouTube links, that would be great.

The previous Paris Hilton story suggests that all these "victims" are, in fact, in on the prank, and just "pranking" the viewers with their mock hysterics, which puts my mind at ease about the ethics of the production team, though not enough to finance them with my own money.

If anyone wants to know the names of any victims and their occupation then I will gladly help

I'd like to know who the guests are. I don't have a clue, but it would help to understand the experience more.

For names then this Wikipedia page will be a great help , it updates the victims list every day , You can wait everyday for it to update , search the name and know the Victim's Occupation and i will correct any info if necessary

https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%B1%D8 ... 8%B1%D8%B6

As for Occupations , The First woman is a former Egyptian dancer and now a MILF Actress , The two men at the second episode are Egyptian Soccer players , The Man in the third episode is an Egyptian actor

Most of the victims are Egyptians in the past but you will see some victims from other arabic countries like Lebanon or Syria

As someone who doesn't read or understand Arabic, this doesn't help me that much. I can't search what I can't read. Could you provide names and maybe a brief bio?

Google translate works quite well on this, including the names of the guests.

Good point. I couldn't navigate the Arabic wiki without being able to read it, but Google Translate gets the job done.

QuicksandMania wrote:I watched the whole show. Ugh. Knowing this is all about deliberate infliction of emotional pain and suffering onto unsuspecting victims utterly kills whatever enjoyment I might have gotten from watching. This is one of those shows where things could go deadly wrong very quickly. All it takes is one victim armed with a concealed weapon. Tyhat actress could have pulled a small pistol from her pocket and shot lizard man at close range. He would arguably have deserved it richly.

I think I will CANCEL my trial subscription now before they get the first penny from me for their vicious deeds.

This show has all the "authenticity" of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

After subsequent posts and further research convinced me that the "victims" are in fact highly paid celebrity stooges fully aware of the prank and knowingly transferring the prank to the viewers, I renewed my subscription so I could screen record the episodes in full 720p high definition (HD) format at roughly one gigabyte (1 GB) each. This was "brute force" since I could find no way just to download the video stream directly. The results for the first four episodes were quite good. The main problem is that there is only about one minute in every episode that interests me, to wit:

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, cute woman in quicksand, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I will patiently record all 30 episodes though I imagine by the last one the performance of the cast will be as tiresome as my experience of the show. Even if all the screaming is fake, it still wears down my nerves in a hurry. I already have a headache from two hours of screen recording this material.

As for what to do with these? For me, long term storage on a terabyte drive purchased exclusively for my quicksand hobby. For you? You tell me. I would love to share, but suspect any attempt to post to YouTube, even "unlisted," would soon lead to an account termination. I am open to ideas, including not posting them at all for copyright reasons, though I doubt any such posting will have any noticeable effect on profits or ratings.

I screen recorded this for future professional enjoyment as a mechanical engineer, but the resolution is not the best, so if you know of a 720p version somewhere, please share it.

Does Shahid have it somewhere on their site now that I have paid access to it?

For Quicksandmania and for any one who wants to download the episodes at High Quality then there is different methods that varies in its difficulty and depends on accessibilty , I will sort them from my recommendations.

Thanks for the higher quality engineering video. I have saved it for future reference as the most intelligent part of the series. I wonder what they used for the surface material over the water pool. It looks like shredded rubber tire compost instead of the shredded cork or vermiculite I have seen our people use over the years.

As for the other download methods, I found them all far too onerous. So I will rely on screen recording. Hopefully others will find better methods to download and share.

Is the young female crew member who sinks the same performer who plays the harem woman during the interview? I really hope they sink her completely at least once. I am not holding my breath (pun intended). They will not even drag her toward the camera during the rescue. They always let her slink to the back away from view after the sink. Bah!

Boundy22, could you please translate the lyrics to the song played during the opening and closing credits?

That would help us to glean much more meaning from a largely meaningless show.

Thank you for participating in this board and helping us to navigate the many difficulties of Arabic.
