Re: Serial Sinkers RP **EVENT LIVE**
(note: it helps if you include your character name in your decision / roleplay so I don't have to cross-check who is who)
1) Flee the murder room as quickly as possible
Clare, H8, Sonja, Abigail
2) Exit the room, but cautiously navigate through the quarry
John, Kim, Laura, Victoria, Amanda
3) Stay hidden inside the room
Kerry, Chim
Most of the contestants quickly vacate the room to flee from the hail of bullets. Frederico laughs maniacally, dropping another magazine into his tommygun. He strides forward, and notices Kerry. He gives her a wink. "Would hate to hurt that pretty face of yours. Count yourself lucky." He also glances over at Chim. "You got guts, kids. Stay out of my way and you might make it through." He leaves the two contestants to do as they wish.
Meanwhile, the scene is chaotic outside. The sticky sand in the quarry makes the run difficult, and in their rush the contestants are unable to see the soft spots in the quarry. Clare, H8, Sonja and Abigail take the lead, but as they cross over clearing with a single stream running through it, the sand suddenly shifts and undulates, and they sink to their knees. "Quicksand!" They've come too far to go back to solid ground. There is a metal platform ahead, which they are likely to make, but there's a risk of getting stuck in the cement-like sand mixture.
[Roll 1d6 - 3+ avoids getting stuck]
Clare - 6
H8 - 1
Sonja - 1
Abigail - 5
Clare and Abigail trudge across the cracking, moving surface, sinking to their thighs before they reach the safety of the platform. They turn around to see H8 and Sonja helplessly stuck a few steps back, up to their hips and sinking quickly.
John, Kim, Laura, Victoria and Amanda avoid the quicksand. However, their cautious approach allows Frederico to sight them. He chambers a round and with his Chicago typewriter at his hip, he lets another hail of bullets rip through the quarry, spraying towards the slower contestants.
[Roll 1d6 - 5+ results in being hit]
John - 2
Kim - 2
Laura - 5
Victoria - 3
Amanda - 2
The bullets whiz around harmlessly, until there is sharp cry. Laura has been hit!
[Roll 1d6 - 6 for mortal wound]
Laura - 1
The .45 round strikes her left shoulder. The wound is not fatal, but Laura recoils in agonising pain. Her fellow escapees pick her up and take her to safety, joining Clare and Abigail on the platform. Chim and Kerry also join them, left alone by the stalker. Laura is unable to use her arm, but the team is confident that they can patch her up once they get into shelter. However, H8 and Sonja are still stranded in the quicksand and are unable to get out on their own.
"We've got to help them!" someone shouts.
"Are you crazy? They're finished. The killer's going to get us, and Laura needs help!"
The contestants now face their first crisis. H8 and Sonja are doomed unless they help. However, the quicksand has been churned up from their struggles, possibly ensnaring the survivors who choose to go in. Who will they save, if anyone? And where is Frederico?
(note: Normally I would not give explicit hints, but consider this a "tutorial". Currently, H8 and Sonja have 0 chance of escaping. Every extra helper will increase their chance of survival, but also risk becoming stuck. Remember that this is only the first trap of many, and losing team members this early may make later challenges harder to survive.)
Contestants choose:
H8 and Sonja have no available choices.
All others (including Laura):
1) Attempt to rescue H8
2) Attempt to rescue Sonja
3) Leave them both and take shelter in the factory
(Also note that I will not be taking control of any characters outside of the decisions and results. I leave the decision making and dialogue to you.)

Abigail tries to rescue Sonja. She's still confident in the ability of her rubber riding boots. (#2)

#3
Kerry, having just come face to face with this mafia madman, decides to stay put. Breathing hard, she presses her hands to Laura's shoulder tightly, looking her in the eyes.
"You'll be ok," she whispers. Though she's not sure she believes it.

Laura goes with #2
Groaning and whimpering from the bullet wound she received, she looked back to the 2 stuck in the sand. Her every instinct said to help them and that's what she was going to do. "We can't leave them!" She said, letting out another groan as she looked around for something to use to help them. She proceeded towards Sonja and assisted Abigail in rescuing her, focusing on using her good arm instead.

#2 Victoria becomes stricken with guilt and decides to aid Abigail and Laura in rescuing Sonja from the quicksand. She keeps a lookout for something to use, but nothing of value comes into view. Having no other option Victoria slowly makes her way into the soft sand to rescue Sonja.

Re: Serial Sinkers RP **EVENT LIVE**
Clare hesitates. Nobody seems to be giving H8 a hand so far and she considers her chances of pulling him free on her own. Then she remembers what the producer initially said.
"Leave them and hurry, we have to move on. The quicker we get out of here, the sooner the sweepers can come in to rescue them." With those words she heads towards the factory. (#3)
