Re: MUDSTUCK: Grip of the Quicksand (11 pages done!)
So, you renamed the comic. Why? Does it suggest that there may be no escape?

There’s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

I think it's due to the game of the same name.

Yeah if you google search for Quicksand Escape, you just find that point-and-click puzzle game that stole from A-020's art. Although I believe that game launched after I announced my comic a year+ ago, I have no desire to share name with that lame and unethical game.SinkerCutie wrote:I think it's due to the game of the same name.

Awesome work! The story is progressing nicely, I think.

This story is great Northerner! It's like the comic I'd always hoped to find in some comic book store growing up. Excellent drawing skills and a fun story line. I like the little pink hearts around our rescuer's legs at the bottom of page 12. Maybe someone is starting to enjoy their predicament.
I know I am! ...and I think I'm starting to have a little bit of a crush on the dark haired girl...

Hehe wow, thanks for your comment. There's always quicksand in vintage comic books, and it was always a device for peril, submersion, and death! I wanted to see a more realistic story that could really happen.
Yeah I'm glad I added the hearts, perfect way of showing she likes the feeling of her legs sloshing around in the muck!! I guess it's a little "character development" as Blue gets slowly accustomed to this new thing she never experienced before.. (Blue is only her nickname, I gotta work out some names pretty soon.)
I never would have known about the appeal of "boots in mud" if not for all the homegrown videos posted on YouTube. A lot of people seem to be boot fans, and I'm always wondering how they don't get permanently stuck?? I hear the smart thing to do is wear boots that allow you to pull your legs out of them. Maybe the girl in this story is somewhat new to her hobby..

This is a really great comic, Northerner! Also, as i read this my mind keeps going places...like "what if the girl stuck is like...some kind of mud succubus or something like that, luring pretty young things into her grasp in the quicksand...Yeah, i get strange thoughts.
