Seems to be a lot of talk online about it.

Re: Is SEEDANCE 2 the new standard?
Is this next wave of Gen AI the new standard? Yes. Is Seedance 2 that new standard? Probably not.
This update cycle should see the convergence in developments in voice, native audio and multi-shot functionality.
In the previous update cycle, the big move was integrating fluid voice lines and native audio. Each of the big AI studios were pushing ahead in some way but with deep flaws in another. VEO 3 was early in the audio and voice department but lagged behind in motion. Kling 2.1 was ahead in motion but laughable in audio, then Kling 2.6 was better with audio and voice but worse with movement. Sora 2 had excellent voice and storyboarding, but lagged behind in dynamic movement and interaction. WAN-2.5 had superior interaction but awful cohesion, WAN-2.6 had better cohesion but awful interaction. And so on.
Most updates to models are two steps forward and one step back. Whatever is being shown in this preview might be the best of Seedance 2, but it's going to lag behind in something else.
Seedance has never really been cutting edge in any specific area. It seems that Seedance 2 is going all-in on action sequences, which other models tend to struggle at. This has long been a challenge for AI animators. The high-speed sequences require very good algorithms to process correctly - "faster" scenes tend to distort more, while more cohesive models have to slow down movement.
Seedance 2 might indeed have the best action sequences, and it looks like it has made big improvements over its 1.5 release with voice and lip sync, though I get the feeling that this may be "mid" compared to Kling 3.0. Voice acting and regular scenes haven't been showcased, so it could be hiding the basics behind flashy cuts.
For comparison, I generated a similar scene using text to video using Kling 3.0. Seedance has the edge in its output quality for fight scenes, but the other outputs - though high quality - aren't necessarily cutting edge.
Specifically for our purposes though, Seedance 1.0 and 1.5 CANNOT do mud/quicksand. I doubt Seedance 2 will advance that.
