The old woman's warning is great, I can imagine her saying it! You missed an opportunity for another film link, I was thinking you could have called it "Plop Fiction" starring and produced by Quentin's younger sister Tina Tarantino. Maybe Blaze could have been Phyllis (abbreviated to Phil by her friends).

I say a quick prayer to Pete Boggs before I work on these and it takes all of ten seconds for any of it to happen. On my best day I look like a Gong Show reject compared to him. Most of this is gone out of my head as fast as it happens. The roots for Blaze came from wanting to reference famed New Orleans burlesque queen Blaze Starr for some reason. I know all this appears crazy random but each is testing something not done by me before. Each one of them is a one off shot at a video that might conceivably spring from Dave's mystic machinery at MPV. Everything that goes on in this forum, no matter who the creator, is laying the groundwork for a future where we really can do anything we want. Think about that. Anything. We will be doing anything in a video we want. I get giddy thinking about it. 8-)

I suppose. We’ll have to learn to work with it I guess.

Not to be outdone, Anita had the studio hire a choreographer of mistaken identity, the not-so-great Busby Bezerkly. An elaborate dance number was staged in an oasis that reliably had the most treacherous quicksand in Mesopotamia. The local supply of dancing girls was rapidly exhausted due to the nature of the work and more had to be brought in from Rome. Eventually, even with the casual nature of local workman's comp laws, production had to be suspended and was rewritten as performed for the final cut. Even this more modest production is not to be missed. Anita's moment in the mire was reshot in a safer studio environment before being cut completely. Sadly, the only thing that remains of the original effort are some studio photos from the MPV library that we happily display here.

I'm having trouble keeping up with all the postings. The Anita Ekberg set is excellent and I hadn't seen the actual clip before, so that was a bonus (the choreography was a bit on the cheesy side but, still, there's Anita! Enjoyed the rest as well.

I didn't post half of what came out of this because I didn't want to seem boorish or whatever. Sometimes too much of a good thing is, too much. There is a point to tying this in to reality. Historical fiction has a real place in this just as it has in movies for over a century. And yeah, Anita. She's got a quicksand scene in The Mongols and buried to her neck in the Bob Hope comedy Call Me Bwana. The moment that Anita really got me to notice that there are women and there are WOMANS (cave man voice) was when she appeared as a Russian Cosmonaut on the moon with Jerry Lewis and Connie Stevens in Way, Way Out! Ridiculous movie but she shows up and makes Connie Stevens, a very attractive lady, look like a little boy.

Anita Changes My Life on One of Several Occasions

Much of the way I look at women today seems to have been formed in vintage Hollywood. The same could be said for the hero of my inspiration, Pete Boggs. He owns the "Busby Bezerkly" reference as well.

Thanks, Boss. That's what this is about. For all the years of effort we put into getting to the best real thing, and it will always be that, there were many moments left uncreated because it just wasn't practical to do so. That barrier is now going away and soon we will be able to create all the twisted shit our minds can weave. And in the case of some of us, that's a lot of shit more twisted than the power lines in Tegucigalpa after a hurricane. We are just getting started.

One thing that came to me while I was playing with Anita (haven't said that in a long time) was the fantasy stuff as well. There's that of which the best dreams are made. Not quite real but not implausibly unreal. I wanted big brown eyes for this and the end result was perfect if not quite real. I've no experience in the realm but maybe this is what certain chemicals do for the brain. There's so much stuff to think about with this.
