Morgan Meyer is the main character of my dramatic short story, which will soon be available for reading under Stories.

Morgan was involved in love triangle that collapsed in disaster after a moment of indiscretion. Shunned and hurt, she sought respite from the fallout by booking a trip to an island getaway in the pacific.

During a hiking excursion, she was left behind by her tour group. Instead of waiting for rescue that may never come, Morgan opted to make the treacherous journey back to civilization.

Morgan finds herself sinking into a seemingly bottomless patch of hot, wet sand. Will she find the will to escape, make amends and begin anew? Or will exhaustion and guilt force her to accept poetic justice underneath the surface of the shifting sands?
