After several attempts I came up with a series of images for a story in ai. I placed them in sequence to set up a scene.

Madelin is trying to make her way to her friend's home in Dartmoor. She takes a shortcut that leads into the peat bogs, even though she was warned not to attempt. As she traverses the terrain her boots began plunging through the ground beneath her. When she notices what's happening to her she stops in her tracks. Madelin attempts to turn around and go another way when suddenly she sinks up to her knees. She tugs at her dress to free her legs to try to step out of the mire!

Madelin tolls and struggles to free herself from the bog. All her attempts just make things worse! The mud just deepens and drags her down. Madelin is now chest deep and helpless to get out!!
