awsome pics,. great spot,...video would have been ace!,. looks like you had plenty offun below the sirface,. i personaly dont use goggles,.. i just keep my eyes shut,.. but i love using my breathing hose to stay submerged and working my way down to the point where the pressure on my chest becomes to much to suck air down the hose =, which is susally about the poin where i can just break the surface with my fingers with my arms stretched up above my head
thanks for the post

i love it when the hole above your face slowly pinches closed -its one of my favourite parts of a sink
as for my hose,. its about 1.5 meters long and is actually a spare washing machine wastewater hose i brough tform a d.i.y store,.. its currugated so it wont collapse,.and its light enough that it floats and the end wont submerge easily,. its just the right "thickness" and has a flange on the end which makes it comfortable to grip in my mouth,..how i avoid rebreathing the air in the hose is reasonably simple,. inhale through the hose and exhale through my nose,. not only does this ensure a fresh air supply but also helps to keep the muck out of my nose (plus it makes a satisfying bubbling noise when you exhale) - not much one can do about the pressure,. my limit is about arms length under in low desntiy organics but somewhat less in heavyier silts

Would a vacuum cleaner hose work instead of a snorkel?

Nice work Bogbud. Can you do a POV or take a camera on a small tripod as you venture deeper? Great sinking spot with good potential.
