Yeah I noticed that one a while ago. Pretty neat that they made a movie about escaping quicksand and rising tides in Mont Saint Michel. Although I do wish that the quicksand scene had actually been longer and deeper.

I'm afraid the thumbnail of the struggling woman in a bathing suit is a lie.

There are two male sinks, one of them with the quicksand concealed underwater, basically no actual descending (just being stuck, sometimes being deeper after a cut) and no onscreen submersions.

The story did OK at setting up the inevitable poor decisions and such; I think it's best to just watch the first half of the movie and leave the rest to imagination.

Yeah, not a strong entry. I saw it and scanned it fairly quickly to confirm, then posted. I guess I should have elaborated a little, especially that both scenes were male.

At 16:50, the two guys are slogging through calf-deep clay, and after they pass by, a hand rises out of the muck and then vanishes!

At 29:25, a guide does the typical quicksand demonstration.
At 58:45 is the underwater quicksand stuck scene.

No worries, it's not as if people regularly give warnings that a given work only has women sinking.

I mostly enjoyed watching it, but then I find myself more and more into drawn-out story setups that transport the mind, in stages, from our mundane world into one where death by quicksand is a matter of when, not if. It's unfortunately kind of a rare thing to see much effort spent on that part.
