Hi Folks,
I came across this female and male quicksand/mud scene:

This is a 2024 TV series from India: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt30987255/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak - episode 33 from 2024.
If you have a good memory, you will find a TV movie of the same name, but much earlier, containing a similar scene (search "qayamat" in this forum).
The actress, Trupti Mishra, is chased into a watery mud pit with leaves covering it. Unlike other Indian scenes, this one has mud in it - plus the camera angles are done low to the ground to highlight Trupti's sinking drama - she does submerge, with her hand waving for help (catches the eye of her male rescuer) - her hand sinks under, and the actor, Karam Rajpal, goes into the quicksand to save her - which he does.
Continue watching this episode, especially if you like to see a woman or man covered in mud - Trupti pours water over herself in a rather sexy scene, meant to entice Karam.
I had hoped the actress would write about her experience somewhere on social media, but no luck finding anything so far - perhaps some of you can locate that, if it exists.
Enjoy.
Mike

Is submerging women in mud just a thing now in Indian dramas? Seems a little too coincidental that I've come across three different scenes over the past year.

I think it's just that it works well as a cheap melodramatic plot device. The same reason it worked so well in western stories 60 years ago.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

India, a land of many square-shaped leaf-covered water pits. Beware!
