so good news. The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligans Island is now available on the Internet archives. To watch it just do a Google search for a Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligans Island and the Internet archives.org. It’ll be the first result. This is the final Gilligans Island TV movie ever to be released. I believe it is also the only one never to be released on video. I might be wrong. But it also remains Gilligan‘s only quicksand scene. I hope they change that if they ever make a motion picture adaptation. Please view responsibly I’m hoping it doesn’t get taken down due to copyright. The quicksand starts at. 1:02:52

It's never a good idea to place a park bench next to a sign that says "Quicksand".

If you have ever been to Universal studios in the 1980s and saw the foam bead quicksand pit in the Wild West stunt show, then you know what to expect. ;)

Yep. That, Jaws and the Miami Vice live action show. Then a snack, and you could leave satisfied.

Oh, and the eye candy wasn't bad either.

As an avid Gilligan's Island fan since the original broadcast, I watched the following tv movies with great interest. I remember this moment thinking that at last one of the girls might fulfill a childhood wish, but alas, it was not to be. I'm confident that any attempt at a Hollywood revival will screw things up just as much as they have for so many others.

I get that, but for those of us who have the hots for Gilligan, this was gold. Would’ve been even better if they had done it when he was younger on the show proper, but he still looked pretty good at the time I think. Also would’ve been awesome if they could’ve showed the professor pulling him out but c’est la vie.
