The magic words are spoken around the 44 - 45 sec. mark.

Great find PM2K! Notice the segment when Jill rises up from the quicksand - which was of course edited out of the original movie!

Ha! Yeah you're right, in that trailer she's rises up and stands while screaming. Not what you want in your quicksand scene!

Is that actually a scene missing from the film or is it just really bad editing, or even an outtake? She doesn't get menaced by a lion while in the quicksand, does she? If it were the snake, it would make a bit more sense! :? And also, isn't she pulled out by a rope? It looks almost as if the actress is just getting up out of the quicksand after filming or something...

Definitely a bit of footage for the cutting/editing room floor. You can see that she's just kneeling as she rises. Such a give-away had to go.

Makes you wonder if there was more than one take, eh? :o

I had a look at the scene, and there's a bit where she plunges her arm in the quicksand and loves to the left. Next time we see her, she's dirty from the quicksand and moves over to the right. Then back again. It does almost seem like they filmed a bit more in there, as this trailer seems to show a bit between the left to right scenes, and they edited it to try and make it look smoother?

Hmmm. For me, one of the oddities of this scene is; as great as it is, you can see that her entrance is a second take. Her skirt is clearly wet from an earlier attempt.

But really, it's a tremendous scene. Not much need to think about it too much IMO. The wet skirt is the only (slight) magic ding for me. Vera really nails it.
