Quicksand Fans

Here's a find I stumbled into!

I was looking for a high quality copy of the Fantasy Island quicksand scene from the episode The Devil and Mr. Roarke, when Roddy McDowell as the Devil makes a cute island girl sink in quicksand. It seems to have been taken down.... ...
But I did find these two photos from it... pity about the water marks These must have been done as publicity stills or something. Pretty cool, regardless, so I decided to pass them along...

Thanks for posting. I had seen snap shots of that scene before but not from that angle.

couldnt find those pics at getty but seraching for quicksand did bring up this pic of will forte in saturday night live which i aint seen before? says its a skit called the falconer from 05 10 2003

there was also an old drawing but the date of 01 jan 1900 seems generic and its credited to time life

this is a nice pic worthy of mpv! it says 'Helpless mud covered young adult female emerging gasping for air from quicksand in a forest meadow'

theres a few other pics of a guy sinking in same mud quicksand and a few more of the woman

last one i could find of intrest bsides generic sand stuff says 'American actor Everett McGill (left) up to his neck in a pond whilst filming the quicksand scene for 'Quest for Fire', 1980.'

The Getty images credited to Henrik Sorenson would appear to be fairly recent material. Doing a search on that name I found the following page about the photographer, and which includes a similar image.

Sadly, IMDB lists that one as a lost film. A lot of movie from the 20s have rotted away.
