The first story in the new Futurama Comics annual has a humorous scene where Leela and Bender get stuck in quicksand, and a person near them is wasting his time in slowsand reading books.
Why don't people go in quicksand/mud with thier flip-flops/sandals on?

If anyone remembers that old comic with batman jr dressed up as superman jr, I found that one comic page where he was sinking in quicksand with two big lizards, the full page.

I love seeing scalies get stuck and sink a little. And it is nice here as you can tell that the muck is sticky, as their limbs from the big panel stayed in place for the others. I love with the arms get stuck.

Amazing that comic scenes are still popping up. Good find.

Thank you. There is always more to find or make. ^^ I did not expect to find much, but I do not give up easily.

I'm pretty sure we aren't even close to exhausting the bottom of the barrel, even after all of these years. Quicksand was a go-to trope in a lot of old comics.

I can't agree. The Pauline comic was posted in this thread previously, in color no less. And if you scroll further down the page you will see Superboy with those lizard-men in QS too. New stuff is getting harder and harder to locate.

Actually, those were lizard-women! My brother and I had the comic when we were young (he may still have it), and some women were turned into monsters. When Batman jr, disguised as Superman jr was stuck up to his neck in quicksand, Superman jr, who was dressed as Batman jr, was just standing there, and Batman jr was wondering why he was just standing there. Superman jr told him that the suit doesn't absorb any water, and that he won't sink any further. Then, he pulled Batman jr out.
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

Heh-heh. OK. Let's be politically-correct and call them "Lizard-persons".
