The last two panels of the last "Nokya" page always makes me wince.

"You right! We stop wasting lives."

Gimme a break! I've seen that bad plot idea in so many comics. Does anyone really think any group of people practicing a religious sacrifice ritual for ages will drop the whole magilla cold just because some pretty white girl said "This is bad."?

Really? More like....

"You right! We throw away generations of traditions and stop wasting lives. How silly of us.
HA HA HAAA! FOOLISH white woman, QUICKSAND IS HOW TIKAKA EATS! Statues DON'T HAVE MOUTHS!

Back into pit with you...Tikaka and the boys at QSFans want dessert."

Works for me! :D

Of course, they could then say "Clothing hurt Tikaka's digestion... so off with them, foolish woman!" ... but only if I wasin charge of the comic...

Here's a new one... and a bit different. Lady space explorer gets attacked by living sand. :)

Notice that in the final panel of the first page the artist forgets to draw (well, sketch) Captain Midnight's space-suit.
In order to make an apple pie from scratch you first have to create the universe.

A few more scenes... although many are cameo appearances of quicksand... but I'll take what I can get... :)

I remember reading this story in the daily paper many years ago. Then a resent buy of some missing issues to my collection got me a copy of the story. The Runaway Girl. Always remembered it as it was a bikini clad girl running loose in the deep jungle. :D
