Yes, thanks for the initial heads-up, too! I found a (poor) copy of the episode and "clipped" the quicksand scene. For an animated program, it is a nice scene.

Yeah, the scene didn't stick with me so I forgot about it. As you said, it isn't real quicksand or deep mud. Nevertheless, since you asked, I will add it, and it will appear in the next update.

Does anybody recognize which movie this mud pit clip is from?

I had it labelled as "Scirocco", but I have just confirmed it is NOT the 1986 Italian film "Amantide - Scirocco" aka "Sahara Heat". I'm not even sure what language it is in, and it may not even be one of the "Scirocco" titles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'm pretty sure that this clip came from a guy in Italy (he sent a couple VHS tapes (way) back in the day).

Those tapes had playlists inside the sleeves, which I transposed into the file names. The best I can do is go back and see if I was off with any of it.

In any case, it's definitely due for a re-render. That scene pushes a few buttons. Pity she went in so fast.

Ok, so I went a little OCD on this.

The clip is NOT from one of the two clip tapes I received from Italy. It was actually from an early WAMTEC clip tape. I (finally) located the WAMTEC database file and was able to pull up the capture of that tape (scanning through all of the capture files was a non-starter). So I successfully isolated the clip.

The database mentioned Scirocco (aka Desert Heat - a generic Euro flick from the 80's, that almost certainly contains no QS), but was probably meant to describe Sea Devils, which was also on the same tape. So the name of the movie this clip is from is a mystery.

In any case, I threw some noise reduction on it, boosted the audio, and gave it a nice render.
