Yepperz. PK2M found a candid shot of David playing around in the "quicksand", with studio personnel in the background: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1370&p=15376&hilit=darkness#p15376


I noticed too that the scene, up until they get stuck, is done at an outdoor site by a river. But the quicksand shots were done in the studio.

Note that when they get stuck, you see the rear tire spinning in some gooey-looking mud....real stuff. But then when David Niven looks forward, you see the front tire sinking into what looks like thick sawdust floating on water. This is the point where they switch from outdoor to studio footage.

yeh i did wonder bout tht cos the quicksand looks solid then all this water is like pumping up thru it :shock: :?
