Just watched the scene in dandadan season two ep 1 it was okay too stylized in points but okay

I saw the scene, too. I get the papers are meant to be binding curses, but to me it just looked more like debris than the sand in the manga.

I agree as well. In the anime, The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World. Toward the end of the series with the nobles son who controls the sand. When he swallows the two women and the male knight the sand is moving up rather than them sinking into it till the end where the female reaches out
