Passwords -
Although I ask the site to remember me, every now and then it forgets, and I have to log on again. Not a problem, really - except that I have to use a system-generated password, which I can never remember. Is there some way of changing my password to a more user-friendly one?

It's fairly easy to change your password.
Go to User Control Panel / Profile / Edit Account Settings
The link for the User Control Panel is near the top left corner of most pages. The rest of the navigation is done with tabs and menus.
