MySQL Error and general clunkiness.

Postby cerberus » Thu May 08, 2025 2:51 pm

Been getting a few of these over the last few days:

If I do "Back" and try again it usually works (sometimes have to do it a couple of times).

Generally the system has been a bit slow and clunky, with pages not completing (only name place markers for images showing). Have had the occasional GoDaddy timeout message as well. Usually having a second go or refreshing page gets the right page up, but the site is still seeming slower than normal.

Yea, I was getting the SQL thing quite a bit a couple days ago.

For better or worse, they seem to have proper performance monitoring in place - even if it does take a few days for them to work it out.

In hindsight, I probably should have shopped hosting providers a bit more. But time was a factor.

OK, not just me then. Seems better yesterday and today.

Always a problem, you don't know what the service is going to be like until you bought and paid for it, then you're locked in for the duration of the contract.
