Quicksand Fans

So ive been sinking for years and it's decided I might want to make content for umd.net. some of you might know me from the ashley quicksand videos back like a decade ago. That was my ex wife lol. Ive recently had the desire to make content myself and was wondering if anyone had any tips to get started? I was thinking making short horror themed videos in the bayou I kayak in regularly. There is so much bottomless mud and all different kinds as well. Theres actual tidal quicksand, pluff mud and regular dark and gray sediment/alluvial mud and i feel like i could make a ton of cool content in these places.

I think we may have spoken before. Are you from NJ? You are right there are so many sinking places no one knows about. It's just finding the privacy.

Yea lol i am. My ex and i used to make videos. Im in pensacola fl now and up the escambia river theres a ton of actual quicksand, pluff mud and deep sediment river mud.

My fiancee now is down to play but I need a canoe to reach my spots. I only have a 1 person kayak as of now.

Time to buy a 2 person kayak. LOL

You might want to consider switching to mudpits at quarries, tidal mud is inherently dangerous as if you actually get stuck, even if you've got a cell phone or partner to go for help, you're on a tidal clock. Making quicksand videos tends to use up more time that just doing mud and extra time can push you into the danger zone.

Quarries have problems too so I suppose I should also observe that if you want to really get into the mud video business, you're going to need your own mudpits in which to make your videos like Mud Puddle Visuals and Studio 588. You might want to consider renting a mudpit at Studio 588 or doing a cooperative shoot at MPV if you cannot yet afford your own place.

Especially if your idea is just exploratory, you will be FAR AHEAD financially by taking the rental route, at least at first.
