I don't drown.
I notice Julie in the mud near me, grab her then hold her above the surface to keep her alive. As my hand slips under, I let go of her, potentially giving her a chance to escape (I know it's against the rules, but I'm not really in the game anymore.)
Meanwhile with me, as I think about what has happened, with the trucks and the digging, I go from sad to angry. But if I ever find my way to the surface, I will still forgive everyone.
If there is one last thing I ever get to do before I die, it's to save someone's life.

"Half way... There!" April said as she made her way into zone 3. She kept her distance from the water taking the further route. While keeping her pace, April tried wiping some of the peat from her body leaving smeared mud across her exposed stomach.

Re: Swamp Challenge RP! Zone 3: Marsh
Julie looks around, noticing that she's back on the surface. She then remembers the robot and dives back in. She is able to breathe in quicksand for some reason, so she isn't worried about dying. Julie wasn't really in the race to win, anyway, so she didn't care if she got disqualified. As long as she had a fun time, she would be happy with any result.
"Hello? Is anyone down here?"
Deep in Julie's mind, though, she harbors an extreme hatred towards whoever made the rule that forbids rescue. Male, female, or otherwise, whoever made that rule was going to pay. DEARLY.

Sigh... At this point it seems like you're trying way too hard to keep your character alive. I mean, really? Breathing in quicksand? I don't think so.

I agree. It doesn't help that there's no real explanation for said breathing ability. And about the no rescue rule, it makes sense given the amount of players involved. If everyone rescued each other, then there would be no fun in it.

Re: Swamp Challenge RP! Zone 3: Marsh
Based on the recent controversy about Julie's breathing in quicksand ability (more like cheat), 2 new rules:
1. You can NOT use a special ability to save your character.
2. If your character dies, THAT'S IT. No revivals, no "oh I didn't actually die".

Yeah, reading all the stories with grim endings seems to be quite different from helplessly reading that your own char drowns in the bog.

Carry on with the story, although i have a bad feeling about the next area....

Re: Swamp Challenge RP! Zone 3: Marsh
Let alone breathing in quicksand ability or never breathing at all (like me)... She had another chance, she dived back under. Because she was under for a very small amount of time, breathing in quicksand didn't matter. I am still alive, but that doesn't matter since I am no longer in the game. And I am not allowed to return. What I tried to do was put her back in the game.
It would be interesting if there was rescuing in the aftermath of the race.

True. Also I feel kind of bad for requesting the bottomless pit. I want rescuing in the aftermath as well.

Been planning that the whole time.
