Here's yet another contribution for Quicksand Day from me.
I was actually going to make this a separate thing, but I changed my mind.
And I swear: Sabbie comes up with some really gooey spots, and if clay's involved, I'm a pounce on it.
That said: The characters in the story both belong to me. Isla Barrar, and the Deceiver Valley within are his.
Just so you know.

There is typically no shortage of quest hunting in our family. The 1/2 Mermaid fighters at least, are always eager for some type of adventure. Yet, they are content with living in peace just as equally, but that still doesn't change the fact that if the call of adventure sounds, they will answer it. Quests are mainly offered up in the guild building in Thebes City, but today, one came in the form of a strange brochure in the mail earlier this morning, and boy was it a doozy.
It detailed a location known as Isla Barrar. This was the first anyone in my family had heard of it, but Nimue & Deloros seemed all too eager to check it out for themselves. Dressed as explorers, they packed up what they would needed, and prepared the great boat that we had for a run across the waves. Yet Deloros had a question about this. "Why don't we just swim there in our mermaid forms?" She asks Nimue. And Nimue had a rather logical answer.
"Our destination is simply too far away." She goes onto say. "The boat will be faster." Deloros nodded as the boat was finally at the dock, and the sisters hop into it. Deloros starts it up, and the boat begins its way. Yet the boat was not powered via a propeller. Instead, it used water jets. This was to ensure that no animal that may swim underneath it gets hurt. This is a good alternative because no one wants to see scarred whales due to propellers on boats.
However, the engine itself received power from the sun thanks to the solar panels on the roof of the cabin, sending energy to a battery inside the ship's engine. That battery of course, only activates if the sun's not shining on the panels, but it still helps those on board get to here & there on the sea when necessary. In fact, it's no wonder that the boat is christened "Sailor Sun" for better or worse. Nevertheless, Deloros captained the boat as it glided across the water.
"So what do you think Isla Barrar is like?" Deloros asks. "I have absolutely no idea." Nimue answers. "I bet it's like the Kalahari or something." She then says. Deloros raised a brow. "I hate to be a front-seat driver, but are you sure we should be checking out a land we know next to nothing about?" Deloros asks. "Would you stop worrying?!" Nimue snarls. "The only way to know about a land is to explore it. That's what mom & dad often say." She says.
"All right, yeesh." Deloros responds, turning her attention back to the sea in front of her. However, a spec of land soon came into view up ahead. "It's about time. A stretch of land." Deloros says. "Hmm? Land already?" Nimue asks, brow raised. "That can't be. We've only been at sea for 20 minutes." "Well I'm seeing land already." Deloros states. "Ah well... Be ready to pull up." Nimue says. "I don't want our boat being washed away by violent waves."
"Aye aye, Captain." Deloros giggles. The boat soon arrives at the land in question, pulling up at a small dock. Deloros drops anchor, and secures the boat to the dock with a sturdy rope. "Hmm, is this the place?" Nimue wondered. Pretty soon, she & Deloros got their answer: A sign nearby greeted them, but it simply said "Barrar". "Well I'll be," Nimue says. "This is definitely the place." She goes onto say. "Where is everyone though?" Deloros pondered.
"Hmm, I guess the natives are away." Nimue states. Nonetheless, Nimue & Deloros leave their ship & take their survival kit with them. It will prove to be handy. Deloros however, notes that a beach was nearby. "Check it out! It's a beach!" She exclaimed. "Something seems odd about it..." Nimue says, but Deloros ran over to it anyway. But as soon as she stepped onto it, she immediately was greeted by that sinking feeling, and she does indeed sink.
Deloros yelped as she suddenly started to sink, albeit slowly, but more among a medium pace to it. Nimue spots Deloros sinking into the muddy beach. "Oh, dammit, Deloros." She cursed, before heading over to her sister to assist. Nimue started to sink into the mud herself, yet with the use of Earth Magic, Nimue prevented herself from sinking down quickly, and it slowed Deloros's descent down significantly. The timing was ideal to boot, too.
Deloros was already halfway sunk, resting at butt deep. Nimue managed to reach Deloros and wrap her arms under her little 18-year-old sister, before she pulls a hookshot from her breasts, and uses it to pull herself, and Deloros, to safety. Needless to say that their legs were positively caked from the muddy beach. "That was more treacherous than one of our own beaches...!" Nimue exclaims. "But it felt nice though..." Deloros admits openly, blushing.
"Nothing wrong with that," Nimue replies, once her composure is recollected. "But, we should explore one part of this island at least. I'd rather not be here all day trying to map the whole thing." She then says. Deloros nods in agreement, before spotting a savanna close by. "I wonder what's over there?" She says. "Let's go see." Said Nimue, putting her hookshot away as she & Deloros head over to the savannah. Deloros spotted a sign that said "Deceiver Valley".
But that was just it. All it mentioned was the name of the destination up ahead from these two elementalists. Deloros had suspicions, but that didn't stop her from following Nimue deeper into the savannah. Emerging from the tall grass eventually, they came across a big clearing. No one appeared to be in sight at all. "Where is everyone?" Nimue pondered, scratching her head. "I don't have the foggiest idea..." Deloros answers, shrugging.
"Ah, there's a clearing up ahead." Said Nimue. "Let's see if our survival kit's got what we need." Deloros nodded, and the sisters come upon some rocks, and they seat themselves on said logs, opening their kit. Inside was a supply of blue potions, and a 12m long rope with a grappling hook on the end. The latter of which was a necessity at best. So Nimue takes that out & places it on her back before putting the kit away. But when she got up to move forward...
Nimue's feet suddenly vanished into the ground, and she slowly started to sink downward. "What in the...?!" She exclaimed. Deloros got up upon seeing Nimue sinking, but she too got stuck in the ground & started to sink as well. "Again?" Deloros quipped. "Hold up, this isn't just mud this time around..." Nimue interjects. "This is clay!" She then exclaimed. "Clay? Out here?" Deloros pondered. "Wouldn't exactly be a first though..." Nimue says.
Needless to say that these two sank into the clay slowly; very slowly. It was really thick, which Deloros & Nimue picked up on almost immediately. Even lifting their legs could barely be pulled off in it. "Sheesh this is thick..." Nimue points out. The clay soon reached their knees, and even then, their descent showed no signs of stopping. "I suppose it's okay to start panicking...!" Deloros exclaims. "No, that makes things worse..." Nimue points out immediately after.
Deloros spots a tree soon enough. "If only that tree weren't so far away..." She says. Nimue looks at the rope on her back. "Don't forget that we brought this." She says, before removing it from her back. She & Deloros rested at thigh deep, and as their thighs were slowly swallowed by the clay, Nimue made certain the hook end of the rope she brought was facing outside rather than inside, before proceeding to twirl it about & toss it to the tree in sight.
And sure enough, in one stroke, the rope reaches the tree, and the grappling hook was spun about until it was safely secured to the tree itself in no time at all. Yet, Nimue's thrust was enough to push her thighs down deeper at a faster rate. In a chain reaction, this happened to Deloros shortly after. They clay seemed to pause sucking the 2 1/2 mermaids down, but only for a few small moments as they were well on their way downward once more.
On the bright side, their lifeline was established. "I'm beginning to think there's no bottom to this..." Deloros says. "I can't feel one either..." Nimue responds. "You think all these sinky spots are bottomless?" Deloros asks. "How should I know?" Nimue asks back. Yet before she can continue on, Nimue sank to her butt, as did Deloros, and suddenly, the clay pushed against their most feminine area, forcing them into a sort of permanent blushing state.
"Oh, oh..." Nimue moans out. "What's... the hurry...?" She then asks aloud, zoning out from her senses. "Sis? What're... You... Oough..." Deloros started, before she too started to zone out. The sisters appeared to succumb to how the clay felt on their bodies, even if they themselves were clothed head to toe. It did however, come to light that these two were wearing booty shorts as part of their outfits, so that explained part of why the feeling crept up so soon.
As Nimue & Deloros became more spellbound by the clay, they felt their butts being sucked down into its gooey maw, which only added to their state of arousal some. In no way did these two fight it though. They actually embraced it. But needless to say that they never reached the point of just wanting to finger themselves as they sank. That wasn't their style in the slightest. They did however, rub themselves against the sucking clay as an alternative.
Even so, this did loosen up some of the clay's thickness; which in turn caused Nimue & Deloros to sink a bit faster, yet it soon became clear that it was also very sticky. But Nimue & Deloros just welcomed that fact. They seemed to really like sticky quicksand more than thick quicksand, and this mire they were sliding deeper into was quite sticky, so this was an exciting prospect for them. By now, their butts & hips were under, and their bellies were following suit.
Even so, Nimue & Deloros still wallowed in the depths of their pleasure wracked minds, despite the fact that the mire swallowing them had no bottom to locate whatsoever. "Oh my goddess this feels too good..." Nimue moaned out, shamelessly unbuttoning as much of her explorer top as possible to expose her big 41'' K-Cup breasts. Deloros however, was only an F-Cup, but still, she followed Nimue's lead anyway, and this had a positive effect in the end.
This action freed their hands from the sticky clay they were in. But this reprieve was not to last very long. Inevitably, the clay will claim their hands again in due time. But in the meantime, their hands were free, and Nimue went as far as to start groping own breasts, her tongue dangling out as she does, as if enjoying the moment of this greatly. Deloros barely did this herself, only groping herself on one breast, even as her free hand dropped into the clay.
This ended up making it stuck under the surface once again, but at this point, she just didn't care in the slightest. Pretty soon, Nimue & Deloros were now at their breasts in the sticky mire, which only added a little fuel to the fire burning in their minds right now. The desire to escape was nullified at this moment, and all they cared about was just becoming one with this gooey clay. "Deeper, deeper... Got to go deeper..." Nimue moaned out, head arched back.
Her breath became short pants, but Deloros tried to stay under control slightly better than Nimue did. However, this didn't last long as she too became more spellbound by the bottomless bog of clay. Their time of buoyancy eventually came to an end, and both girls could only observe their breasts being pulled under whole as they sank up to their shoulders. But, the pleasure was just so overwhelming, Nimue & Deloros unconsciously pumped their legs.
This caused the clay to gulp them down to their chins, before the clay prevented them from moving their legs beneath the surface more, even as it slid up across their faces. Yet, Nimue & Deloros at that point came to their senses. "What... We're... so deep...?" Deloros moaned out. "Merciful goddess..." Nimue moans, as at that point, even as they clay swallowed their heads, she started to realize that indeed; she & her sister were going... under...
And go under, they did. Beneath the sucking, bottomless clay, there was no light. No sound. Nothing but the clay squeezing their bodies in a sort of orgasmic pleasure. But pretty soon, their lungs started to burn, and the sisters were starting to feel lightheaded. Finally, their will to survive kicked in, and assuming mermaid form, swam up from the sticky clay's depths, arms breaking the surface, and grabbing the rope that had been waiting patiently the whole time.
There was no way they were going to drown here. After breaking the surface more, emerging to their breasts, both Nimue & Deloros, rope in hand, immediately began to haul themselves out to safety. The clay may have felt nice, but neither Nimue, nor Deloros, had plans to die here. It took a struggle, sure, but Nimue & Deloros managed to get themselves on a safe solid area where they wouldn't sink downward again. "That was close..." Nimue says.
"Too close..." Deloros admits. "If there's clay bogs... I wonder if there are more wonderous places to sink...?" Nimue ponders, while giggling. Deloros pondered the same thing. She however, had something else in mind. "Can we go home for now? I'm spent..." Deloros says. "Yeah, our quest here is over. For now." Nimue confirms as she & Deloros reclaim their rope, safety kit, and take a safe route back to their still waiting boat, which they board.
Nimue raised the anchor, Deloros started the boat, and the boat began to take off for their own home. Although Nimue & Deloros did not get to explore much of Isla Barrar this time around, their encounters here have left them with one factor: Much of this island is mushy. Literally. But to them, it's an incentive for them to come back & explore more of Isla Barrar in the near future. But what would await them there next time? Only time held the answer to that.
