"No! I'm going under! Please, help me!"

Michelle screamed as she felt herself sink a little bit further into the muck, moments away from slipping beneath the surface and vanishing forever.

"Please, can anybody hear me?! Help me! I'm sinking!"

Even if Jeff wasn't interested in saving her, maybe, just maybe, someone else would hear her cries for help and pull her out before she drowned. Michelle wasn't about to give up just yet.

Beneath the surface, Michelle was still trying to break the mud's grip and free her arms.

Surrendering to the relentless suction of the mud wasn't an option. She was a fighter; she was not going to let herself be defeated so easily by some thick mud!

But even as she fought to keep herself from going under, Michelle couldn't help but feel the absolute helplessness and despair creeping in. The thick, heavy, grey ooze simply continued to draw her into its depths, eager to consume her whole.

Jeff simply stood there, watching, eager to see his ex-girlfriend submerge in the mud. That would be the perfect parting gift. After all, Michelle had the gall to leave him, and had just fought him off when he tried to have his way with her again. She deserved it.
