Hey Guys, :)

Thanks for your interest. Yes, it is near completion! :D

My goal is to release the movie on Halloween! Scary I know. That's my goal, but I can't promise it will be finished. I have a 2 or so more shorts to render out, then the editing, most of which is done already, but the final details always take the longest.

In the mean time, here's a couple of our beach babes doing a little light reading as they have realized they used the wrong trail to get back to the car. ;)

Gee, I wonder what that sign says.

It says:

No parking.
If your car was parked here, it is probably submerged in quicksand now.
Good luck getting it out!

Actually, here's what the sign says. The girl in the pink towel spotted it first. The girl in the green towel was completely oblivious because shew was too busy texting on her phone.

The shocked look on both the girls' faces is when they realize that if pink hadn't seen that sign, the green girl would have walked right into the quicksand, for the ground ahead all looks the same!

BEWARE! :o

BEWARE! :o

That sign needs a sensor wired to the quicksand and a digital numerical display so that when the mire claims its next victim the sign can automatically update its tally: "*DING!* 11 people have died here!"

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that baring any other natural disasters, I'll be releasing the movie either this Thursday night, Easter US Time, or later that weekend. I wanted to do it on Halloween because it's my favorite Holiday!

I'm in the middle of fixing a couple of shots last minute and hope to get everything done on time, but you never know.

Cheers! :D

Hey everybody,

Remember when I said "baring any other natural disasters"? Well, we just got hit by a tornado. :( I discovered a huge mistake in one shot, a big omission in another and another that is just not behaving the way it should.

So, here's where we stand. :?

Problem shot 1: It's one of those shots where it set it to run backwards, but Abode Premier sometimes does strange things and refuses to work the way it’s supposed to. I've used this technique may times before and it's fairly simple, so I'm very sure it's not me. :x We'll see if I can fix it in editing.

Problem shot 2: This one should be fairly simple. There was a setting I mean to put in, but forgot. Now, I have put the setting in, but now I have to re-render the shot. Hopefully, that won't take too long.

Problem shot 3: The monster, the terror, the kind of shot that keeps me up at night. I noticed a huge continuity mistake and went to try to fix it. Not only is that a pain because it’s a long complicated shot that takes a long time to re-render, but I opened a can of worms! First, I had to try to rematch the lighting with the surrounding shots. That should have been easy, but for some reason, the software did not save the changes I made last time. Then, I had to redo the dynamics for the way the towel falls off of Paris' body, then the changes I made in the poser scene to make that happens for some bizarre reason refused to load into Lightwave correctly, even though I've done this a thousand times! Then, the hard drive where I stored my render files started acting weird. The connection to the computer is via a USB 3 cable attached to a hard drive cradle. It's starting to act funky so I may have to buy a new one. What happens is when I'm rendering and Lightwave is saving the still picture files to the hard drive, sometimes the connection breaks, even for just a second, so the file is not copied correctly. This causes Adobe Premier to crash when I try to load or render these files.

So! The bottom line is there's a good chance I won't have this done by Halloween. :x I will try, but I'm not going to kill my self anymore than I already have. If not too many more natural disasters happen, I should be able to finish by the weekend. :?

Sorry for stringing you along like this, but when they said we had to suffer for our art, they were not joking.

Cheers,
