I'm glad it feels natural! I try to imagine a real life scenario!!

I just spend 4 minutes searching, and decided her name can be Hazel! I haven't heard that name too much, or if I have, I don't remember it

Probably so!! But we'll only see her in monochrome --

PAGE 3 POSTED ... no mud yet, but, there will be PLENTY of mud... I don't wanna draw all these boring pages for nothing!!

It requires a lot of discipline to draw "introductory" panels like this, but I hope it will pay off when you see her personality change in reaction to the mud. That's just my goal, anyways

I guess I kinda threw everyone off with the frisbee in SUMMER OF MUD page 3.. My thinking was, it might be funny if Rufus is lazy and doesn't chase it. Naturally everyone interpreted this as "the frisbee is landing in quicksand territory and the dog knows not to go there!!" After some thought, I'll probably be changing page 3 so the dog plays frisbee. I'm trying to show the girl is very light hearted and fun now, which will change quickly as she's consumed by a quicksand obsession.

I wanna let everyone know, the frisbee is just way to have fun, and not a plot device to end up in the mud. Who has quicksand a stone's throw from their back door? ( If you do please invite me to swim in it !)

Most likely, next pages 4 and 5 won't be done until next weekend. But please look forward to them!
