Jeff shrugged his shoulders, visibly excited at the sight of Michelle floundering about, moments away from submerging in the clay. "Shouldn't have put up such a fight earlier and gotten yourself so far from the edge. I can't do anything to help you now."

Michelle stared at Jeff in disbelief, aghast at how cruel and callous Jeff had revealed himself to be; despite their history, surely he wouldn't just stand there and watch her sink to her death! And to think that she used to be so deeply in love with him...

"Jeff, please! I can't... I can't feel the bottom..."

Michelle, trying her best not to panic, knew that she was minutes if not moments away from submerging.

"Jeff... I'm still sinking... I can't get out! You have to help me!"

She could feel the clay creeping ever so slightly higher, and she tilted her head back, trying her best to keep the muck from flowing into her mouth.

"Please help me!"

Despite her best efforts, Michelle realised that no matter what she did, she would go under very soon if Jeff didn't do anything, and she lost her composure.

"Please... please don't let me die like this... I don't want to drown in this mud..."

Jeff smirked as he reveled in the sight of his ex-girlfriend up to her chin in the mire, begging for her life.

"You know what, I think I'll stay over here and watch you go all the way under. I'm enjoying this so much..."

Michelle winced as she felt the thick, goopy clay begin to reach her ears. She tried to push herself up, but despite her efforts, the clay simply continued to swallow her.

She was incredulous at how thick and heavy the clay was. She was strong, but against the mire, she was completely powerless and unable to do anything.

Beneath the surface, she tried to free her arms again, but they remained trapped and immobile.

Exhausted, Michelle stopped struggling and stayed as still as possible, yet she could feel herself sinking ever so slightly deeper with every passing moment.

I'm about to die, she thought to herself, as she took quick, panicked breaths.

"Please save me, I'm sinking!" Michelle screamed once more, as she looked about frantically, desperately hoping that someone else would hear her cries for help.

She couldn't bear to look at Jeff, as he gleefully stood there and watched her sink.

"Aw, you're not begging me to rescue you anymore? I'm hurt. Fine, I'll save you. all you have to do is just reach and grab my hand."

Jeff smirked, knowing that Michelle was trapped and too far away to reach him.

"Come on, why won't you take my hand!"
