I saw on the news that had a interesting twist.
LAPD was doing a search in the La Brea Tar Pits for clues for a 2011 crime that was committed.
What a gooey mess that must be.

From what I've read about the place the consistency of the tar varies wildly depending on temperature and rainfall. Sounds like he was basically diving in 17 feet of oily water.

Wild story.... and another testament to the professionalism of the folks in blue.

HAHAHA......LAPD and professionalism don't really belong in the same sentence. If there hadn't been so many cameras present the tar pit would've been beaten and tasered while handcuffed and then had a gun planted on it.

Sorry, but you're about 20 years late with those comments.

Bad apples will always make the news, but the current LAPD is about as professional as you're going to get for a force that large. Believe me. I was working for the City during the Consent Decree and Bratton. LAPD did change. (Sorry - some latent civic pride showing)
