I have begun this thread in search of why everyone has chosen the picture they have for their avatar. How does it represent you? Is it quicksand related, a simple picture of yourself, or something much deeper? (no pun intended, if i even know what that means) Also feel free to comment on each others avatars here.
I would have put this in the general discussion area but because there are those of us without quicksand related avatars i felt i'd play it safe by going to the off topic section. To start things off i'll explain my avatar.
I am an avid gamer. Due to fund restrictions I am xbox 360 only. I play multiple games, but Halo 3 is the most frequent and online is where its at. The game has a feature where you can watch previous games and take pictures from the game. I have hundreds of pics of me and teammates from close to 2 thousand games played. I am constantly looking for the best angle to bring out the heat of the moment. With my avatar seen here, the setting was in-game black and white to set a creepier tone for a zombie style game. Since the avatars only allow so much picture to be shown i felt i should capture that particular angle of my characters facial expression (through a helmet) as I drew my pistol and prepared for the approaching mindless onslaught.
