Quicksand Fans

Hi guys. I just wanted to share a link to a dumb lil game I made where one of the perils is quicksand. Thanks for all the stories you guys post. They've been a joy to read

That's pretty neat. I did not expect to see another game with quicksand and minesweeper mechanics anytime soon. I love your take on it!

Cool, a game where it's (somewhat) safer to stick to the quicksand The mines get annoying, but I don't mind as much when they fall into the quicksand

I can see some potential for expansion here too, maybe a little more animation, yelling and struggling when they fall into quicksand, and maybe if you have two next to each other when one falls in, the other might be able to help her out (I actually tried it, hoping that might happen ).

I had one of them sinking while she was surrounded by 5 of her friends. They watched but did absolutely nothing to try and help her.

Bogsweeper is really just a minesweeper clone, except I replaced the mines with quicksand and added some rendered artwork:

I was also thinking of maybe creating another game mode where you would walk from tile to tile, but just with the one character you selected.

The fact the game preview is teasing us with the girls helping each other just makes the fact they don't kick even harder...

I'm down for that! I always enjoyed the little mini-game with Millie in the Central Peat Bogs where you had to chose right or left and how to react when she got stuck. Never did find a way out going forward, only safe way out seemed to be going back.

My thought exactly!

There is a little easteregg if you've got characters around the one who hits a mine

I facepalmed so hard when the artist for the game called the effect unrealistic
