Some Online assistance needed

If anyone here would like to help with an online issue, and is also registered as a member at quicksandland.com, I could use some assistance. Specifically:
The PsychicWorldJungleLand.com web site SHOULD be accessible to anyone who is a member at quicksandland.com. When I log in, everything works as it is supposed to. That is, if I use Edge and the computer I normally use for internet. If other people do the same thing, and even when I do from a different computer, everything works as far as the index page at PW but then it fails when attempting to enter the chatroom. I expect it has something to do with settings in my browser or in Windows. It also fails on my usual computer if I use Chrome. From the usual machine, I am also successful using a test username that is not the system administrator, so it is not that.
What I am requesting is 1) feedback from anyone who has been successful in getting in all the way to the chat room, and 2) if you can get in I may ask about your browser settings.

The only thing I can offer at the moment is that it also does not work in the browser "Duck Duck Go", which is my preferred browser for things I want to keep private. I tried Edge from my work computer, but my employer's security software wouldn't let me log into quicksandland.com, claiming that the site was not secure. When I get home, I will make the attempt on my computer at home, using Edge.

I expect that will fail also. I am tending toward the conclusion the problem is the same one from about three weeks ago but with a different database. My web support person is out of touch for the time being but should be able to fix things very quickly if the problem is what I think it is.

As you are obviously a member here, I will presume you are having trouble registering at quicksandland.com. It is impossible to know what the problem might be with the information you provided here. You might try emailing me directly (
Fred588@gmail.com). I can, however, provide some info that might help. First, the log of people requesting membership there shows no one whose requested username is anything resembling your username here, at least going back a month or two. Second, the problems I asked for help with late last spring have all been solved. Third, the things that prevent people from registering are, most often, 1) being an obvious spammer, 2) attempting to use a disposable email address, 3) entering an email address that is not valid, and 4) attempting to use a security question for which the correct answer is obvious.

Hi!! What is it about the "damsel in distress" archetype that continues to captivate audiences in visual media? Do you think this trope reinforces harmful stereotypes, or can it be subverted to empower characters in new narratives?

I think I need some croutons.
Seriously though, if that actually makes sense to you, you're probably not grooving on the spirit of this place. We're here, as adults, to share stuff related to critters (mostly women) sinking in quicksand. If the stuff here doesn't give you a boner, you're wasting your time.
There have been attempts to turn this place into an academic environment. I suspect that trying to turn it into a philosophical one will be even less popular.
