I've seen carbon used pretty much everywhere but up until now it was only on cars that were well over half a million dollars. $100,000 ain't exactly cheap, but it's cool to see the technology trickling down into the realm of affordable.

What I seek in a car is rather different than most, I think. I have nine requirements.

1. First, it has to be red.

2. It must be reliable.

3. It has to be red.

4. It must be fairly comfortable on a long trip.

5. It has to be red.

6. The purchase price must be such that I can just write a check for it.

8. It must get at least 30 miles to the gallon.

9. It has to be red.

Ok, so 23:16 moments aren't for everyone.

The last one I had landed me in traffic school (redneck style). I was lucky to not get written up for reckless driving (I think letting the trooper catch up to me easily, helped).

But it was a phase in life that's behind me. But I still laugh at this guy's 23:16. Seriously fun, until it's not.

Saw one of these at a car show just a couple of weeks ago. Appeared to be traveling just below the speed of sound while it was sitting there on the convention center floor. I remember a time before the age of responsible behavior when I would have really gone for such a rig. Not only would it be a lot of fun to drive it would attract girls of the kind you wanted to attract at that age. I got married in '89 and since '92 I have been driving a very modest pickup the only requirements being it runs and it's paid for. What you want to bet the young man driving this rig is single?

For the most part its not the CAR the girls are attracted by. Its having enough resources to have the car.... And for most of us not born with protruding silver spoons, once the car is obtained the resources are no longer there.
