Heavy rain coming here.

Postby Fred588 » Thu Sep 20, 2018 8:22 pm

It looks like it is going to rain here this weekend. Four to six inches predicted.

Up my way we're in this ridiculous cycle of 3-4 days of rain, followed by a couple of days of gross levels of humidity, then maybe one nice day, then back to rain. Been a miserable summer. Bike is about to start rusting from disuse and the grass in the backyard is so high there could be a Buffalo back there and I might not notice.

Thanks. My place is pretty much at the top of a hill that is 500 feet high so flooding should not be much of an issue. Could be cut off though if roads flood. This is the kind of rain, though, where a heavy, stationary thunderstorm cell causes a flood in one small place or a downpour over the watershed of a small rver turns it into a big river for a few hours, but its nothing like the widespread heavy rain that the Carolinas got.

Sounds like the bike needs a raincoat. Try to avoid making any noise that might resemble another buffalo. Actually, though, a bison would be more likely. All the buffalos have lost their wings so they can't travel very far.
