It's sounding more and more like it was beer thirty on the bridge and nobody thought to bring a designated driver. Seriously, nobody, on the fully staffed (I'm assuming fully staffed) bridge of a USN Destroyer, equipped with radar systems that can spot a seagull masturbating a 1,000 miles away, NOBODY noticed that this giant fucking boat was coming right at them......really? REALLY!!?!?!?

Just for the un-educated, I shall translate, as someone once said: That is a complete load of bullshit
Over 20 years ago, we were using radars , in the commercial marine industry, that were capable of multiple tracking and plotting of targets on any range scale. And smart enough to show the plot as you switch scales. Now, I can imagine they are at least as good now. And , there's still manual plotting.
