75 Years ago, before Barnes Wallis and the heroics of 617 Squadron, the Royal Navy took a crack at it. In Italy
The First Dambusters Force H no less, and not once, but twice. Not a very well known operation. I'm not possessed of a perfect memory, but I hadn't even heard of this one before. But it does underline just how good the RN was, and how in awe/fear of them the Italian Navy was of them. As I have said before, the RN never trained to lose
