Taking a vacation in LA, the devil gets involved in solving the murder of a woman he "assisted" with her career in the past...
I like it. This has potential, if Fox doesn't fuck it up, like they have been known to do with shows in the past.

And it looks like Daddy is Yahwe - the old testament, not very nice almighty God. This could be good

Hmmmmm.... didn't they cover this area in a TV show a few years back, called "Brimstone"? It featured a "Cop From Hell", LITERALLY from hell, returning escaped "Damned Souls" to Hell; in one episode the Devil was working as a University Student Counsellor, advising a female student that "if the only way you feel you can make your student loan go further is by working in the sex industry, I'd advise you to go straight ahead and do it"; he then told the Cop-From-Hell that "there's a little bit of me in everyone".

Different Concept; here Lucifer was bored, and decided he needed a vacation in LA. And there's so much fun to be had. Plus, he is just fascinated as to why the female detective is immune to his abilities. This makes him want to investigate , and THAT is fun on it's own. Plus, getting the hot head shrinker to analyse his daddy issues will be interesting. And banging her silly is a bonus We'll see how it goes. Again, this is a win on its own, the game is Fox's to lose with their writing.
