It appears that Sony may be willing to let Google Play (yes, Google Play, that thing that Google launched as an alternative to iTunes) host the movie, The Interview, which you may have heard a lot about in the news over the past few days, due to North Korea hacking Sony.
If you don't know what all of this is about, then
this is the article for you.Tl;DR:
The Interview, a 2014 film directed by Seth Rogen and James Franco, involves a CIA plot to assassinate the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un. On December 17/18, 2014, Sony Pictures, which had just been hit with a North Korean cyberattack, said that they would be cancelling the movie's release.
However, two articles have popped up hinting that there might be hope for The Interview's release:

I think Sony caught a break. Some of the leaked emails say that the movie sucks and they were expecting it to bomb. Now they'll release it straight to DVD or Netflix or some crap and it'll make a profit because everybody wants to see the fat kid's head explode.

Plus, anyone unaware of the antics of KIM DONG SMALL and his minons needs truncheoned in the face just on general principles for having their head that far up their ass
Uglier stuff happening now though girls; the racist antics of the fucktard left just got 2 NYPD detectives murdered in cold blood. This, will not end well

Okay, I read about it.
I won't watch it, but I don't watch much...well, yes, it's free speech. I think Sony should do what it thinks best, as it's their movie.
However:
It's stupid question time. And there is such a thing as legal but stupid speech.
Didn't anybody anticipate that North Korea would be displeased?
If you still don't get it, turn it around. Imagine a movie coming out of Russia about assassinating our President -- the real President -- not a fictional President.
What is going to be even stupider is if we actually end up in a stupid war over this stupid movie.

When you're the egotistical maniac in charge of an ongoing human rights violation disguised as a government you don't garner much sympathy. There are few people on this planet right now that need killing more than Kimmy here.

Well, Obama hinted at a counter-attack, and that appears to be it.
