To those no longer with us....

No political or religious topics please. Otherwise, anything goes, as long as we treat each other with respect.

When Dusty (right) passed his bass technician and long time friend of the band took over his role. But Billy Gibbons (left) said nobody can replace Frank (center). I guess the band is done. Truly, I hope it is and doesn't turn into one of those bands like Journey or Lynyrd Skynyrd who still tour despite no original members left.

Could you imagine the Beatles without George, John, Paul or Ringo?

Rest In Peace Frank & Dusty. Thx for the great times

I can't get too specific here for obvious reasons but aside from being one of many generations of my tribe in Nashville, I now work with a group of special people close enough to Dolly's home to see the news helicopters swarming this afternoon and listen to WSM-AM 650, the mother church of country broadcasting, break into full time Dolly music, within site of their antenna. You can't spend that much time in this environment without having some peripheral connections to her. Saw a few special moments this afternoon I wish I could relate. I had thought she would outlive me. We rejoice in her being reunited with her Karl Dean and know she lives on as one of the proudest daughters Tennessee ever produced.

Yeah, she really was the genuine article. My favorite quote, showing her wit, was when she said she didn’t mind the dumb blonde jokes because “I know I’m not dumb, and I’m not blonde either.” RIP.
